The building to the left was first used in 1912. With continued growth and tax support from the population, a wing was added to this building to accommodate the new classes for BHS to be accredited. BHS was accredited in April 1917. This date is used to calculate the age of BHS although one could argue it had a earlier birthday.
A new brick building replaced the wooden structure in 1923. An additional brick building was added to the campus. Bossier High was located at this facility until 1940 and is now used for Bossier Elementary and new construction is currently underway at this site. This facility is on the National Historic Register as Bossier High School.
